Often imitated and never equaled, Yacht Braid's premium polyester fiber construction continually earns it recognition as the industry standard. In addition to its outstanding performance characteristics, Yacht Braid also benefits from our unique solution dying process, which ensures long, colorfast wear under any weather conditions.

In response to the expense and hazards associated with all-wire halyards, Yale designed ULS (Ultra Low Stretch) to provide a safe, reliable. Devised by our Advanced Rope Technology Department, ULS is made of Allied's Seagard polyester - the finest polyester fiber available - and features a unique, low-angle braid structure, ensuring minimal elongation. ULS is then paired with a "nubby" abrasion-resistant sleeve that reduces wear, and ensures long, durable, stretch-free performance.

Spectrum is Yale's fuzzy-textured line, and is ideal for cruising boat applications. The cover is made from DuPont's Type 77 "fuzzy filament" Dacron, which provides a texture that's exceptionally easy on your hands. It also provides a better grip on winch drums, especially under wet conditions.
While traditional fuzzy-filament ropes are made with short, reconstituted fibers, Yale's use of DuPont Type 77 Dacron ensures Spectrum's strength and durablity for use as cruising boat sheets, guys and control lines.

With a core combination of Hoechst Celanese Vectran and Olefin, and a heavy, durable, abrasion-resistant tri-strand polyester filament sleeve, Vizzion's unmatched holding power makes it the ideal rope on winches and in stoppers. Because of its high-technology construction, Vizzion's core will not absorb water, and eliminates roughly 75% of the elastic stretch seen in other polyester yacht braids. Using conventional double-braid techniques, Vizzion also enables easy splicing, and is at home in high-load, low-stretch situations - making it an ideal alternative to all-polyester lines for halyards, sheets, guys and control lines.

In competitive sailing, victories can often be measured in fewer ounces aloft. That's why Yale Light - our ultra-light, high strength yacht braid combining Spectra fiber and 100% Olefinic fibers - is the choice of so many winning skippers in both professional and amateur sailing circles. Because of Yale Light's high-tech composition, it repels water and maintains its low weight in any weather conditions. For the full complement of sheets, guys and control lines on dinghies, one-designs and boats of up to 26 feet in length, and for light air sheets on larger boats, Yale Light delivers the lightweight performance winners demand.

With the ultimate combination of low-stretch, high-response and abrasion resistance, Pulse provides unmatched tweaking performance. From its core of low-stretch Spectra fiber to its100% polyester sleeve, Pulse ensures a more comfortable hand and greater resistance to sun damage than any other tweaking line. Because of its unique blend of performance characteristics, Pulse has been used extensively to rig the new Olympic-class 49ers making their debut during the 2000 summer games in Sydney, Australia. For performance dinghy applications.
