Dick Hildebrand Rope Manufacturer Has a Firm Grasp On Whats ImportantYale Cordage Introduces YaleGrip with Technora®Biddeford, ME, December 12, 2000-Everyone is trying to get a grip. Now one company is doing something about it. Yale Cordage, a Maine-based company that specializes in rope manufacturing, has just introduced a new grip that promises to deliver a whole new level of performance and safety. "Our original YaleGrip, made with Kevlar, has always been one of the most reliable products on the market," says company Vice President Dick Hildebrand, "But for us, its important to adapt to meet the changing demands of our customers." The new YaleGrip is made with Technora, a fiber developed by Mitsui Plastics of Japan that is twice as abrasion-resistant and 20% stronger. In addition, its also non-corrosive, lightweight, and more resistant to cuts and high temperatures than any other grip. "We dont see the new YaleGrip as a replacement for our Kevlar-based product," says Hildebrand. "Rather, its just a way for us to give our customers more options." And speaking of options, both the Kevlar and Technora YaleGrips offer plenty of those as well. Each is available in nine different sizes, is color coded for load rating, and can be attached to varying diameters of steel, electrical, or synthetic cable at end or midspan. Plus, either YaleGrip installs permanently or temporarily in a matter of minutes without the need for any specialized tools, so either one is easy for repeated applications. "Its really the best of both worlds, no matter which grip you choose," adds Hildebrand. "With either Kevlar or Technora, you get all the performance and reliability youll ever need." Yale Cordage, located in Biddeford, ME, has been engaged in high-technology rope manufacturing for 50 years. In addition to an established reputation among arborists, Yale is also well known for producing specialized rope for competitive sailing, pleasure marine, industrial, and research applications. For data and installation instructions, or for more information on any of Yale Cordages high performance ropes, call your Yale representative or contact Dick Hildebrand at (207) 282-4620. |
