Unitrex XS Max Wear

UniTrex™XS Max Wear is similar to our Uniline but greatly improved. UniTrex has a parallel core of Spectra® UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) which is bonded together with a rubber based adhesive, wrapped with a rubber tape, over braided with a tough polyester sleeve and entirely saturated with a urethane rubber impregnant. The cable is then cured in an oven, causing the rubber to advance to a solid layer with very tough mechanical properties.

Since UHMWPE is so strong it triples the strength of traditional Uniline and has the least stretch possible. Lighter, stronger, less elastic and more durable. This cable is easily spliced or may be joined with traditional wire mesh socks. Given the durability of its sister product, with strength retention measured in decades versus years for rope this is the most cost effective way to convert expensive high modulus fiber into strength members.
