Spider Sleeve

Spider Sleeve, manufactured by Slingmax Rigging Solutions, is a low-friction protective sleeve designed to reduce wear on ropes or synthetic sling jackets during demanding lifting and rigging operations.

Constructed from 100% HMPE fiber and available in sliding, fixed, and removable configurations, Spider Sleeve allows sling covers to move more freely over themselves and adjacent hardware, reducing abrasion and minimizing jacket or fiber damage. It also improves choke release after lifting and helps extend overall sling service life, making it an effective solution for high-friction applications and tight hardware interfaces where protecting synthetic slings is essential.

Spider Sleeve

Spider Sleeve is a specialized low-friction sleeve manufactured by Slingmax Rigging Solutions to help protect synthetic slings and ropes in demanding lifting and rigging applications. Constructed from 100% HMPE fiber and offered in sliding, fixed, and removable configurations, Spider Sleeve is engineered to allow a rope’s eye or sling’s outer jacket to move smoothly over itself and adjacent hardware, significantly reducing friction at critical contact points. Its exceptional strength, durability, and ultra-low coefficient of friction help minimize jacket abrasion, simplify choke release, and reduce wear when rigging around narrow hooks, shackles, and other confined hardware.

By reducing friction and protecting the sling’s outer cover from premature wear, Spider Sleeve helps extend service life while improving performance in high-friction lifting environments where synthetic slings and ropes are subjected to repeated use and demanding rigging conditions.
