GlideLine is Yale Cordage’s premier underground pulling rope assembly, engineered to perform in the most demanding conduit environments. Built with a double-braid HMPE construction, GlideLine uses both an HMPE core and HMPE jacket to deliver maximum strength, abrasion resistance, and controlled elongation during high-load pulls. Its specialized anti-sawing / anti-abrasion coating protects conduit from damage and minimizes heat buildup—one of the primary failure modes in underground installations.
A defining feature of GlideLine is its REDLIGHT™ Technology: a highly visible red end-of-run coating that alerts operators before the rope reaches its termination point, improving workflow efficiency and helping prevent costly miscommunication during underground pulls. GlideLine is available in standard 4,000 ft lengths, with custom assemblies available upon request to support utility, telecom, and construction applications.
Purpose-built for durability in tough environments while remaining gentle on conduit, GlideLine delivers a pulling solution that reduces equipment wear, resists sawing effects, and maintains smooth operation across extended runs. Laboratory and field data confirm substantial reductions in conduit abrasion compared to typical 12-strand products, making GlideLine a next-generation tool for underground installation professionals.

* Knots and abrupt bends significantly reduce the strength of all ropes and lower the maximum working load.
** Working load is based on static or moderately dynamic lifting/pulling operations. Instantaneous changes in load, up or down, in excess of 10% of the rope’s rated working load constitute hazardous shock load and would void the normal working-load recommendation. Consult Yale Cordage for guidelines for working loads and the safe use of rope.
